Today's Bible Study- Genesis 23
(I am working on Romans 1. I gave up doing commentaries in 2 places and have just decided to do this one.

Today's Hymn This is also a hymn written by Isaac Watts.

6284 Steps yesterday. (Though I noticed last night that going from standing to sitting counted as 3 steps :-/ However, I only get to my goal of 6000 if I walk around our block or go shopping at Walmart.)

I did the minimum of my morning routine this morning. Mostly caught up on the laundry.

Today's schedule includes finishing my morning routine, breakfast, a walk around the block, school, my own studies (Herb Mentor, Learning Worship Keys, LillaRose University, plus practicing my instruments), closing out the church books for January as well as my own books, working on the church's music, and setting up a Facebook party.

Sold two more books on eBay so I need to get those ready to go out.

I still need to make some videos in preparation for one I will probably hold next week.

Writing this up everyday is helping sort out my day and keep on track. Sort of an accountability place :-)

        Today's Bible Study- Genesis 19
( I am working on Romans 1. I gave up doing commentaries in 2 places and have just decided to do this one.

Today's Hymn This is also a hymn written by Isaac Watts; this time for children.

6836 Steps yesterday. Probably won't ocme close today. No time for our morning walk if we are to have school done in time to go to lunch with Grandpa.

I did the minimum of my morning routine. Yesterday, I took a few minutes and caulked part of the wall, especially the place I've seen mice go through.

Got part of the kitchen deep cleaned/reorganized.Worked a bit in the dining room, also, as well as cleaning under one of the desks in the living room.

Supposed to today, but the sky is clear.

Today's schedule includes housecleaning, school, and lunch with my Dad. Probably go to his house and visit with my Step mom.

How to Milk Share with a Calf
We did this with one of our cows we had. It was the best! Most of today's modern breeds produce 2-10 (!) gallons of milk a day. Even with a house full of milk drinkers we go through far less than that, so sharing with a calf and all its benefits is great :-)

        Flexi of the Day:

Writing this up everyday is helping sort out my day and keep on track. Sort of an accountability place :-)

        Today's Bible Study
Today's Hymn The verses are written by Isaac Watts, but the chorus was added later. This is the hymn that touched Fanny Crosby's soul so she gave her heart to the Lord.

6231 Steps yesterday. I've reset my daily goal to 6000.

I did the minimum of my morning routine. Woke up headachey, but not too bad. Should go away after breakfast.

Got part of the kitchen deep cleaned/reorganized.

Supposed to start snowing tonight. I hope so. We have not had nearly enough moisture this year.

Today's schedule includes housecleaning, school, and rewriting my routines/housecleaning schedules to be Flylady adapted to my house. I am realizing my problem with really following Flylady is that I am doing better already at house keeping than I thought. I need to sit down and really think about what a completely "caught up" and clean room looks like and how close I really am. Honestly, in my bathroom, I need to do the floor for this week and finish scrubbing the hard water deposits off the walls of the shower, but otherwise, I don't think it could be much better than it already is. Wow!

        Flexi of the Day:

I find myself now slowly adding back in things I had deleted from my life. Maybe I just needed time to reevaluate and decide what I really wanted to do.

Anyway, I am imporving at the stuff I do for church, except the cooking. Others are stepping in and helping more with that, which is the prefered to me doing it all anyway.

I'm trying to "Up my game" with my LillaRose business. It has the potintial to be a real blessing to my family.

I am focusing on more personal Bible study than preparing books to print.

I've also sold something on eBay with the potential now of selling more. Need to list some stuff on Craig's List, too, since the thrift stores in our area are being persnickety about what donation they will take.

And I think I've finally settled on what "my" school method is. Had a son get his drivers license (that makes 4 of them now).

        Today's Bible Study
Today's Hymn is written by Isaac Watts.

An article to encourage and help:

Mindful Coping with Addictions ( I have a number of friends trying to quit smoking and thought this might help).

6647 Steps yesterday. My daily goal is currently set at 5000 steps, but I intend to eventually raise it to 10,000, the recommended amount for optimum health. I use a free app on my phone to track my steps and carry it in a belly pouch (because we all know women's clothes do not have pockets.)

I did the minimum of my morning routine. Woke up headachey, but not as bad as yesterday. I also got that gift mailed and bought chicken feed yesterday.

Today's schedule includes housecleaning, school, and rewriting my routines/housecleaning schedules to be Flylady adapted to my house. I'll post it here when I get it done.

        Flexi of the Day:

        Early Morning Routine:

        • Dress
        • Swish and Swipe the Master bath (change trash bags in Master Bath can, wash the mirror, wash the toilet)
        • Made my bed
        • Straightened up my bedroom.
        • Started a load of laundry
        • Fixed Hubby's KoolAid for supper
        • Fixed my coffee
        • Devotions time
        • Worked on my Dad's book for 10 minutes (I literally set a timer)

        I still need to:

        • Dry and Fold laundry
        • Eat breakfast
        • Do my emails, deleting everything I won't need in the future
        • Check off the children's computer school work
        • Post some posts explaining the goodies available for Lilla Rose on Facebook
        • Clean the Family bath
        • Make the 6yo's bed (its a loft bed and he can't reach it well enough to make it)
        • Vacuum the kids rooms and hall (I just hit the parts of the floor I can get to without moving anything. Some days that's the whole floor. Some days it's only the hall way).
        • Water my plants
        • Shower
        • Cut up veggies for munchies
        • Walk around the block (about a mile)
        • School

        Later today:

        • Practice my music
        • Do an herbal lesson
        • Clean unders all around the house (set the timer for 15 minutes and just do what I can in that time.)
        • Dust for 10 minutes
        • Wipe down all windows, mirrors, and fingerprints (this takes about 15 minutes in my house if I do it every week)
        • Clean out the fridge.
Yesterday I began cleaning the kitchen. I know, I know, That's not the zone we are in. So sue me. That's what mood I'm in.

        Evening Routine

        • Fix the coffee on the timer for the morning.
        • Fix water for Hubby and I (big, 100 cups like you buy at convenience stores. This is a day's water and we aim to drink the whole thing.)
        • Shine my sink (Ok, I haven't been doing this, but I need to start. I see the point. And it will cut down on the mice)
        • Set all the mouse traps (caught one last night and 2 were tripped but empty).

        Monthly Habit we are building:

Shine our kitchen sinks every night.

        Weekly zone focus:

(This is the zone we are tackling all our monthly and less often chores in this week) Master Suit

        Today's Meals:

        • SOS (Search or Starve)
        • SOS
        • Stir fry or BBQ chicken (haven't decided)

        Today's FlyLady Mission:

        • Take out everything that doesn't belong in the Master Suit (set a timer for 5 minutes and only do what you can in that time. I will not do this mission as I keep that under control already> I'll probably straighten cupboards in the kitchen instead)
        • Wear your shoes (Nope. Just won't do it.)

Tami's assignments (Tami is a homeschooling mom of 6 who is a partner of FlyLady):

        • Dust and vacuum(I vacuum nearly everyday due to our small house with lots of feet coming and going)
        • Put up the clothes on "The chair" (too clean for the laundry, but been worn once. I actually don't have one of these. I stay pretty much on top of this area.)

How about you? What's on your list today?

Have a great day! (as I listen to Fur Elsie being played on our piano by my 16yo.....)

        I highly recommend Flylady.com
