Today's Bible Study- Genesis 20
( I am working on Romans 1. I gave up doing commentaries in 2 places and have just decided to do this one.

Today's Hymn This is also a hymn written by Isaac Watts; this rendition is very beautiful. We may learn this for worship service in our church.

3492 Steps yesterday. Not bad for a Thursday.

I did the minimum of my morning routine.

Not a lot of housework done yesterday. We helped my dad sign up for Netflex and I went with him to light the furnace in the caretaker's house at church instead.
Today's schedule includes grocery shopping and an eye dr appointment for my oldest. Then I need to get some paper work done and start working on the tax return (which has been filed already. I need to plan what I need to buy for school with it.)

  • Clean unders all around the house
  • Dust for 10 minutes
  • Wipe down all windows, mirrors, and fingerprints
  • Clean out the fridge.
What I will do: finish the menu for next week, load the eCoupons to my loyalty card, finish the shopping lists, go shopping, run across town to the eye dr, have lunch out with my daughter, come home and work.

Evening Routine

  • Fix the coffee on the timer for the morning.
  • Fix water for Hubby and I (big, 100 cups like you buy at convenience stores. This is a day's water and we aim to drink the whole thing.)
  • Shine my sink
  • Set all the mouse traps.

Monthly Habit we are building:

Shine our kitchen sinks every night.

Weekly zone focus:

Master Suit

(This is the zone we are tackling all our monthly and less often chores in this week)

Today's Meals:

  • SOS
  • SOS for everyone but my oldest and me. We'll be an hour from home at lunch time, so we'll go out.
  • Haven't decided yet, but probably a rice and chicken dish.

 Today's FlyLady Mission:

  • Back to the Basics assignment: Make a Menu (which I have been doing for a couple years, so mehh)
  • Set a timer for 2 minutes and clear of a hot spot (horizontal surface that tends to collect things its not supposed to have.)
  • Straighten up your dresser top

Tami's assignments (Tami is a homeschooling mom of 6 who is a partner of FlyLady):

  • Do the monthly check on supplies, cars, seasonal maintenance, etc. (all the things she lists either don't apply to our house [we don't have rain gutters] or I already cover in our weekly inventories for grocery shopping.
  • Clean under your bed (mines a waterbed. I can't get under it)
  • empty the trash (which we do daily), sweep (ditto) mop (yeah, probably won't get to this one.)

Thank you so much for commenting! I love to talk to my readers.

I do ask that there be no anonymous commenters, though. If I am brave enough to put my name on this blog, you should be too:-)

Please keep it civil. Remember we are all human and make mistakes, and that since we can't see each other's faces or hear each other's tone of voice, it is very hard to get the emotion in what we are saying each other. Use lots of emoticons! :-) And show grace and love to each other.
