Today's Hymn- I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say

2039 recorded steps yesterday, but, again, I didn't wear the phone the whole day.

Did go to lunch with dad. He offered to loan us one of his cars, but it wouldn't start. Blahhhhhh.

Today will be a big shuffle of vehicles; three adult boys needing 2 cars to get and from work on three different schedules (thankfully, they all three work at the same place.) Plus, I need to do grocery shopping and have errands in town.

A, E, O, and U usually say their names at the end of syllables.

On schedule for this week:
  • Mount Never Rest (laundry)
  • Mop all the hard floors (partly done)
  • Weekly Home blessing
  • Decide on events for both the church and my business.  (:-) found some Facebook pages that will help this! May have one lined up for June 9)
  • List some more books with eBay.
  • List stuff with Craigslist.
  • Work in my bedroom
  • Maybe run to town to buy Easter clothes.Nope. No car.
  • The kitchen cupboards need straightening out. This will take half an hour to an hour, but I'll do it 10 minutes at a time.
  • I've done a lot of studying about Facebook parties, watched some tutorials. I may be about ready to figure out for myself what I want to do, what is "Me." I also need to find a way to get more hostesses or just plan my own party for early next month.
Is California worthy of the United States? "Oh, but remember: despite the genuinely good people of that "Golden State," there are those there whose noses are turned upward at those of "flyover country" who just are not good enough for them. But then, what can you do with those squares who believe in real justice?"

I was born in Southern California. Spent 30 years there. I've lived here in Nevada now for 18 years. I would love to kick California out of the real United States...as long as they take Vegas with them!

Vegas has been totally corrupted with the California Anti-American ideas, and as a result, our elections here often go way left. Vegas (and a tiny bit of Reno) are the only places Nevada that are to the left. The entire rest of the state is very conservative. But, then, northern California is conservative, too.

So I purpose that Southern California from just north of San Francisco down and Vegas be made into a new state, minimum, country would be better (they don't like the Founders Ideas as put forth in the Constitution? Fine. Make your own. But don't force me to live under it, or financially support your stupidity). We Northern Nevadans will join with Northern California and make a new state. Culturally, economically, and politically this makes much more sense than the current divisions.

Just give enough warning my 2 brothers still in Ca can move out :-)

Simplifying the Little Areas of Life

I have been grieved by several letters directed to Doctor Newton

Birth choices and their price
I think most would be horrified to know how little true information is given to moms about birth, or how little of what we do with birth in the US is backed by science. This article was written by a lovely lady in Israel, but the situation is much the same.

Flexi of the Day:

For my Daily routines, see the sidebar.

Monthly Habit we are building:

Get dressed every morning to the shoes.

Flylady began working with mostly stay at home moms. We SAHM often have the problem with this (I never have, but I understand why others do). It really does make a difference to get dressed each day.

(I am not going to wear shoes. I'm just not. Call me a rebel. I will wear socks when it is cold.)

Weekly Home Blessing

  • Take all the trash out of the house (which we do every day, not weekly)
  • Change the sheets (Everyone is responsible for their own bed except my 6yo who is too short to reach his loft bed well enough to make it) Done for the week
  • 10 minutes feather dusting the house (don't own a feather duster. Need to fix that. Meanwhile, set the timer and cloth dust for 10 minutes)
  • Shine the windows and door glass (Takes less than 10 minutes in my house)
  • Recycle magazines and catalogs (Which I do through out the week, tossing after just a day or two in the house)
  • Vacuum the middle of the floors (needs to be done daily in our house. 11 people in 1400' home just has too much dirt to wait a whole week)
  • quick mop the kitchen and bathrooms (Did one bathroom and the laundry room.)

Weekly zone focus:

Master Suit

(This is the zone we are tackling all our monthly and less often chores in this week)

Today's Meals:

  • SOS
  • SOS
  • Hamburger Helper (from scratch recipe)?

FlyLady Daily Mission

  • Clean off the dresser (Can't. It's all things Hubby needs to take care of)

Tami's assignments (Tami is a homeschooling mom of 6 who is a partner of FlyLady):

  • Clean under the bed (since we just moved it in, this is already done.)

"To take the first step in faith, you don't have to see the whole staircase: just take the first step." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This applies to a clean house, too.

"You can do anything for 15 minutes."

"You are not behind. Just jump in where you are."

"Your house didn't get this way overnight. It won't get under control in a day. It takes time."

How about you? What's on your list today?

Have a great day!

Thank you so much for commenting! I love to talk to my readers.

I do ask that there be no anonymous commenters, though. If I am brave enough to put my name on this blog, you should be too:-)

Please keep it civil. Remember we are all human and make mistakes, and that since we can't see each other's faces or hear each other's tone of voice, it is very hard to get the emotion in what we are saying each other. Use lots of emoticons! :-) And show grace and love to each other.
