Exodus 23:10 And six years thou will plant thy land, and will harvest in the fruits of it.

11 But the seventh year thou will let it rest and lie still, so that the poor of thy people may eat from it. And what they leave the wild animals can eat. Treat thy vineyard and thy olive groves the same way.

Romans 6

Today's work in Romans

From

16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

To

16 If then I do that which I don't want to do, I admit that the Law is good.

17 Now then it isn't me that is doing it, but the sin that lives in me.

18 For I know that no good thing lives in me (that is, in my flesh,) because I do have the will to do what is right, but I just don't know how.

19 For the good that I want to do, I don't do. But the evil which I don't want to do, I keep doing.

20 Now if I do what I don't want to do, it isn't me that's doing it, but the sin that lives in me.

Today's Hymn

7070 recorded steps yesterday.

Worked in the garden yesterday, but I think I'm going to have to ask for help. I don't think I can get it ready in time by myself.

I got one of the storage cars cleaned out and will call the wreaking company today to haul it off. Yeah!

To Do:
  • Pull music for worship service
  • got stuff posted to fb
  • all the normal chores
  • clean out the cars so I can mothball the volvo wagon that will take too much money to fix and have a couple other storage vehicles hauled off.
  • finish setting up the newsletters for the blogs I am doing
  • switch my son's phone
  • order new eye drops
  • weekly home blessing

Tuh Done (what I've finished for the week):

  • Cleaned a car
Nursing on demand and parental authority
My take? Newborns absolutely must be nursed on demand. No exceptions. But older babies need to be eased onto a schedule. There is a big difference between a newborn crying because he is hungry and a 9 month old doing the same.

A PRIMER FOR MEN: PICK UP YOUR CLOTHES…

For my Daily routines, see the sidebar.

Monthly Habit we are building:

Moving for 10 minutes a day

I try to walk around the block everyday we have school. That takes 25 minutes (half of it is up hill, so slow). I need to find a way to get my moving in on non-school days.

Weekly zone focus:

Kitchen, Laundry, Pantry
(This is the zone we are tackling all our monthly and less often chores in this week)

Today's Meals:

  • SOS
  • SOS
  • Turkey

FlyLady Daily Mission

  • Clean the silver ware drawer

Tami's assignments (Tami is a homeschooling mom of 6 who is a partner of FlyLady):

  • Monday - Declutter & Wipe the Kitchen Counters
Tuesday - Declutter items from 1 kitchen drawer
Wednesday - Declutter leftovers from the fridge
Thursday - Declutter items from 1 kitchen cabinet
Friday - Wipe the stove top and microwave
My version that fits my house:
  • Straighten the cupboards
  • Clean the fridge
  • Clean the stove
  • Move books from one storage to another.

Thank you so much for commenting! I love to talk to my readers.

I do ask that there be no anonymous commenters, though. If I am brave enough to put my name on this blog, you should be too:-)

Please keep it civil. Remember we are all human and make mistakes, and that since we can't see each other's faces or hear each other's tone of voice, it is very hard to get the emotion in what we are saying each other. Use lots of emoticons! :-) And show grace and love to each other.
