Let’s Get Rid Of Social Security

I have done a little comparing of numbers. If we get rid of Social Security, Medicaid, federal funding for schools, welfare, “other discretionary spending,” and all the other un-constitutional categories we spend on, we are left with a budget of $546 billion. That is less than a fifth of the current budget. Reducing the federal budget by that much allows us to once more outlaw income tax, get rid of FDIC and Medi taxes and maybe even severly reduce business taxes.

Now, the truth is, that as big and expensive as SS is, these are payments we have promised our retierees we would make. We are honor-bound to continue them. However, we can begin to allow the younger generation to opt out, and set in place policies that will eventually end this pyramid scheme.

We owe it to our children.

Thank you so much for commenting! I love to talk to my readers.

I do ask that there be no anonymous commenters, though. If I am brave enough to put my name on this blog, you should be too:-)

Please keep it civil. Remember we are all human and make mistakes, and that since we can't see each other's faces or hear each other's tone of voice, it is very hard to get the emotion in what we are saying each other. Use lots of emoticons! :-) And show grace and love to each other.
