Every government that grabs the kind o power that that the BO administration has has become a totalitarian nightmare that executes large parts of their people and impoverishes the rest.

Why in the world does anyone think America will be any different?

We must end this now.

Debunking myths of America’s health care system

Debunking myths of America’s health care system - Opinion - The Daily Athenaeum - West Virginia University

I have been saying this for years!

ANY industry ANY government has gotten involved in at ANY time in history has seen skyrocketing prices and plummeting quality. There is no logical reason to think that American health care has been exempted from this.

Adapting To What Works In Your Marriage | Breathing Grace

Adapting To What Works In Your Marriage Breathing Grace

Great advise and perspective (though I have never read any book syaing a woman should never express her opinion or tell her hubby when she is upset. I think many women see advise to slow down and think before you talk and to keep some things, things that will hurt more than help, to yourself as telling women to NEVER TALK. This simply isn't what the authors are saying. But then again, I haven't read every book out there either.)

put medical freedom into the Constitution

"Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will come when medicine will organize into an underground dictatorship... To restrict the art of healing to one class of men and deny equal privileges to others will constitute the Bastile of medical science. All such laws are un-American and dispotic and have no place in a republic..." Benjamin Rush

In a true fee society, we would have the choice between Md's, specialists, herbalists, accupuncture, chiropractor, homeopathy, and who know what else. What is right for one person isn't necessarily right someone else, even if they have the same illness. We must be free to choose.

Vacation 2011

To those who think we are overcrowded, take a good look at these pictures. Most of Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and part of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and oh, most of the western states look a lot like this.

Because Little One is due in September and the cow is supposed to calve in July (meaning twice daily milking), we decided to take our vacation in June this year. We never stay gone as long when we go at a different time than Labor Day, even when we have just as much time available. Weird but true.

We had a nice time. First we loaded up in the rain and headed to Scotty's Castle (which is neither a castle nor owned at any time by Scotty). Mr Scotty was an, ummm, "entertainer" and the owners of the house enjoyed him so much they footed his bills and humored his whims. The children really enjoyed the tour.

When we got out we discovered our van had been broken into. You see when we parked, Andy thought to himself, " There are no bears her and its in the high 80's so I'll leave the windows down."

While we were away a flock of crows flew into the van and ate all the egg whites from the boiled eggs we had brought for snacks. They scattered the yokes all over the front seat. What a mess!

We camped for two nights there in Death Valley. It was pleasant and had huge Jack Rabbits to watch.

The second day we saw some of the sights in the valley. The children agreed they wouldn't wan to play golf on the Devil's gold Course, but they decided that football would be worse.

On day three we drove over the mountain into Owen's Valley. We enjoyed the Laws Railroad Museum, including a demonstration of how their rock crusher works.

By this time the van was hiccuping badly so we decided to come on home.

Rest and unpacking on Thursday.

Friday we went to the State Museum. We always love this, especially the mine underneath.

Then we went to the rendevous and rode the train. Again, always fun.

Rest again Saturday so Andy could prepare to preach Sunday (My parents were out of town due to my nephews heart surgery. He is fine.)

All in all a quick, quiet, refreshing time.
