Government Schools: Antiques Preserved in Political Amber

American Thinker: Government Schools: Antiques Preserved in Political Amber

I've asked this question before;

Why are we still using a 5000 year old technology to educate our children?

Gathering a bunch of children in one reoom with one teacher has been around at least since the Ancient Greeks. There is no need for this to be the standard today.

Why cant our children be taught by a math scholar in Japan, an English professor in Oxford, an Archyologist on a dig in Egypt, and a scientist in a lab in Germany? With today's computers, this is more than easy; it's already being assembled and used by colleges. Why not at lower levels also? Why keep our children in the dark ages?

Thank you so much for commenting! I love to talk to my readers.

I do ask that there be no anonymous commenters, though. If I am brave enough to put my name on this blog, you should be too:-)

Please keep it civil. Remember we are all human and make mistakes, and that since we can't see each other's faces or hear each other's tone of voice, it is very hard to get the emotion in what we are saying each other. Use lots of emoticons! :-) And show grace and love to each other.
