hombirth links

The lies to promote OBs in birth. The numbers just don't support their rhetoric.

Midwives in Ireland Yet another study showing that the midwife model of care is at least as safe as the traditional doctor model. The outcomes were the same for mommy and baby in both groups, but the midwife-cared women were happier with their experience.

Now I whole heartedly believe saftey and health are the most important consideration, but if that is equal in both types of care, than mommy's happiness and comfort should be the deciding factor. Midwives win here.

Dispatch: Birth WarsWho’s really winning the homebirth debate?

I highly recommend this video! I have watched it myself. Decisions should be informed. You do have choices.

Thank you so much for commenting! I love to talk to my readers.

I do ask that there be no anonymous commenters, though. If I am brave enough to put my name on this blog, you should be too:-)

Please keep it civil. Remember we are all human and make mistakes, and that since we can't see each other's faces or hear each other's tone of voice, it is very hard to get the emotion in what we are saying each other. Use lots of emoticons! :-) And show grace and love to each other.
