The damaging myth of “Relationship not Religion” - The American Vision

"Certainly, Christianity is a relationship with Christ. Of course it is! But there is no relationship with Christ outside of His covenant. And a covenant is by definition a relationship establishing certain bonds—that is, a religion."

  1. There is no such thing as "autism". Psychiatry itself is a bogus science. The following articles and essays explain this:

    1. Thank you for reading:-) I am going to assume you meant to comment on one of the previous articles that actually mentioned autism and mental illness.

I agree and disagree (isn't that so clear?:-D)

I think the vast majority of mental illnesses are hokum and psychiatry is man's way to try to heal the soul without God. Is is dangerous and deadly, just like the titles of your links say.

However, I have known people who were "not right," such as a man who was hit in the head with a bowling ball at age 8. There was most definitely something wrong with him.

I also have met people who have spent so much time naval gazing that they can't function in the real world. Are they "sick"? Yep. Should they be coddled, given disability and drugs? Nope. "If a (hu)man does not work, neither should he eat." I think they should have to suck it up, get over it, and get a job (counting making a home as a job, of course). That and a great deal of prayer and time in the Word is their only hope.

Most diagnoses of ADD are, in fact, cases DDD (Dad Deficiency Disease) or NASOTBS (Needs A Swat On The Behind Syndrome). But I have known people I know had brains that function differently than the majority. In fact, in many ways mine does. Much of the way my head works fits the diagnoses of Adult ADD (sadly, no H. Hyper I am not:-)

This is not, however a defect, just a difference. And certainly nothing to medicate out of a person! ADD people are the ones who accomplish tremendous amounts of things that "normal" people (whatever that is) couldn't dream of.

For example, my attention jumps so often I can be composing two books, three pamphlets, an article for here, two answers for people on Facebook, planning the next school day and Sunday worship and carry on a pleasant conversation with someone in person all at the same time. When it works, man! (course, when I don't feel good and drop the ball it's a big crash:-) Why in the world would I want to be any different?!?

Part of our problem, I think, is that any deviation from a factory "normal" is to be stomped, regulated, drugged or ridiculed out of a person. I believe in celebrating the tremendous differences God has made! Everyone of us totally unique:-)

As far as Autism, there is definitely something wrong with these children. They don't make eye contact, often can't talk, can't take care of themselves, they can't learn. I am not about to insult their parents by saying there is nothing wrong with them. You can put whatever label you want on them, but the fact is most of these children were perfectly "normal," received their shots, and have not been the same since.

I read a story yesterday of a normal 8yo boy whose doctor decided to "catch him up" on his shots all at once (8 injections!) By that night he would not make eye contact, speak, couldn't control himself or communicate in any way. That was five years ago. Today, because of his mom's tireless efforts in diet, detoxing, etc, he can communicate and has made great strides, but he has never returned to the way he was before his shots. What do you tell a mom like this? That her kid is fine and it's all her imagination? No, Autism is very real and happening at epidemic proportions. SOMETHING is making children very, very sick.

Thank you so much for commenting! I love to talk to my readers.

I do ask that there be no anonymous commenters, though. If I am brave enough to put my name on this blog, you should be too:-)

Please keep it civil. Remember we are all human and make mistakes, and that since we can't see each other's faces or hear each other's tone of voice, it is very hard to get the emotion in what we are saying each other. Use lots of emoticons! :-) And show grace and love to each other.
