Is Pro-Life Enslavement?

A friend recently made the statement, "Both the pro-choice and the pro-life position seek to enslave women."

How the Pro-choice side enslaves women is obvious. Planned Parenthood is the single biggest provider and promoter of abortions. They are also a mufti-million dollar corporation. If abortion were to be outlawed or generally fall out of favor so it was never used a whole lot of rich bureaucrats in Planned Barrenhood will go broke. They make their money off of women's distress and then sell the body parts to pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies.

A woman who used to work at PB, was in fact a six-digit a year vice-president, claimed they would intentionally give women (especially teens) low dose pills that had a high failure rate in order to drum up more business.

PB has also been caught on film lying to women, ignoring obvious cases of statutory rape and prostitution, and siding with men and parents trying to force women to have abortions.

Yes, the pro-choice side enslaves women.

But how does the pro-life side enslave women?

The answer would be "They force women to have babies they don't want."

Really? Pro-lifers are going around impregnating women against their wills? If that is true, why aren't we locking them all up in prison as rapists?

The truth is that 99% of abortions are preformed on women who CHOSE to have sex. Hey, newsflash! We know what causes pregnancy!

If you don't have sex you won't get pregnant.

Pretty simple really. If you don't want a baby, keep your pants on (and this goes for men too.)

What pro-lifers are actually saying is "IF you CHOOSE to have sex and make a baby, it is not moral to hire someone to rip that baby's arms and legs and head off. That tiny human being did not ask to be brought into existence. That was your choice. You have the moral obligation to provide for that child at least until birth."

Is this really enslavement of women? Or is it holding them to the same standard we hold men to (if you father a child you must provide for it until it is adopted or reaches age 18. No option. No choice.)?

Thank you so much for commenting! I love to talk to my readers.

I do ask that there be no anonymous commenters, though. If I am brave enough to put my name on this blog, you should be too:-)

Please keep it civil. Remember we are all human and make mistakes, and that since we can't see each other's faces or hear each other's tone of voice, it is very hard to get the emotion in what we are saying each other. Use lots of emoticons! :-) And show grace and love to each other.
