$70 million Birth Injury Case – Largest Arbitration Award in U.S. History (Cytotec Brain Injury) | Wise Woman Way of Birth | by Gloria Lemay

The drug used is cytotec, an ulcer medication. The manufacturer begged doctors to quit using it to induce labor, but doctors told them it would set medicine back too much. Never mind the drug had never been through scientific tests for use in labor. They just wan to use it and so do.

Actually, you would be horrified to find out how much of what a doctor does is based on tradition and good ideas instead of sound scientific proof- especially in the maternity ward.
